New polling arrangements to facilitate voting in LegCo General Election: HKSAR chief executive

HONG KONG, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- John Lee, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), said on Saturday that new arrangements were made this year to facilitate voting for the Legislative Council (LegCo) General Election.

Two polling stations have been added -- one at a checkpoint of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and another at Terminal 2 of Hong Kong International Airport -- so that voters traveling on Sunday can cast their votes, said Lee in a social media post.

Other polling states were added for medical workers, ethnic minorities and civil servants, according to Lee.

On Saturday, Lee visited polling stations to inspect preparations for voting day, which falls on Sunday.

He called on all eligible voters to turn out to elect aspiring, capable, and responsible LegCo members, who will jointly contribute to Hong Kong's development.
