HONG KONG, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong reported no new local infection of COVID-19 on Tuesday, the third time since the latest wave of the epidemic broke out in early July.
Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection said there were four new imported cases, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 5,079.
The epidemic has eased greatly in Hong Kong following a swift anti-epidemic response and strong support from the central authorities. Social distancing measures have been partly relaxed and people's lives have begun to return to normal.
All students returned to campuses on Tuesday in a two-phase arrangement after in-person learning first became available about a week ago to certain grades.
Hong Kong's Hospital Authority said there are still 136 patients hospitalized, including 11 in critical condition.
